For us Washington landlords this is huge. The Governor is proposing (for the first time ever) that rental income would be subject to Business & Occupation tax (probably around 1.8% of gross rents). Please feel free to contact your favorite legislator and the governor’s office about how you feel about the State taxing you on your gross rents – not net rents.
